Newlyweds Sara and Matthew selected the historic Rittenhouse Hotel to celebrate their special day, hosting their closest friends and family for an unforgettable evening. The pair wanted to transform the ballroom into a vibrant, energetic event space, and we partnered with the incredibly talented Marc Uravic to help create the couple’s dream design. We started by lighting the perimeter of the ballroom with our LED uplighting, and we added depth and attention to the floral centerpieces created by Jamie Rothstein:
To command attention to the dance floor, we washed it with a soft pattern in bright teal and used our programmable intelligent lighting fixtures that we rigged into the ceiling to project a lilac wash overtop, creating a layered dance floor wash:
The final design task was ensuring the band, by East Coast Entertainment, could be seen by the crowd while being able to see their instruments. We washed the stage in a dark amber and projected a moving wavy line pattern across the back of the stage, which helped keep the energy high throughout the evening. Special thanks to MK Photography for the images you see throughout this post.
