Pantone has announced their refreshing and energetic selection for color of the year: Greenery (15-0343). Each year, the authority in color releases their selection, along with predictions on implementation tactics in various industries, as well as the color’s role as a source of design inspiration. Leatrice Eiseman, the Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, presented the rationale behind this year’s selection: “Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment. Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose”

With Greenery’s innate soothing temperature, along with the pleasing and soft tint of a familiar standard green, we believe the incorporation of this color into the major creative industries will become a priority in the near future.
