Lighting Lead  

Synergetic is currently accepting resumes for a full-time lighting director. We are a Philadelphia based audio/visual company that specializes in concerts and corporate events.

This will be a full-time position at our location in Bensalem, PA. It will be Monday-Friday, 9:30am to 6pm position with weekend/evening hours. Overtime will be expected at times.

The lighting director is responsible for making sure our entire lighting division is prepared to perform successful events. This will include:

• Maintaining/updating the entire lighting department
• Quality control of all lighting equipment
• Prep/de-prep events
• Manage firmware updates across all brands and fixtures

This individual should have knowledge of:

• Moving and conventional lighting
• GrandMA 2 / 3 and Hog Lighting Consoles
• Networking protocols
• DMX / Artnet

Expectations

• At least 7 years of experience in the lighting field
• Experience with how lighting is set up and used in corporate/concert settings
• Have experience with motors and rigging
• Having experience in electronics and basic repair
• OSHA 10 certification

What a week would look like for you/your team:

• Schedule the proper technicians throughout the week to facilitate all tasks
• QC all lighting gear that just came back from events
• Schedule de-prep of truss and/or cable looms from an event
• Review upcoming events for lighting needs to prep
• Prep shows that are going out
• Review purchasing decisions (large and small)
• Meet with the Project Manager overseeing the Lighting Department
• Work with repair teams for speedy fixes
• QC chain motors, cable, distro
• Managing any subrents

Compensation/Benefits

• Salary of $85,000
• 11 PTO days
