October 20, 2026 Synergetic Uncategorized

$80,000 Annually | Full-Time | Bensalem, PA | In-Office

We’re Looking for Someone Who Knows Their Numbers. And Knows How to Work With People.

At Synergetic, we produce live events. Concerts, corporate meetings, conferences, galas, graduations, and everything in between.

We’re looking for an experienced Finance Associate / Bookkeeper to help keep the financial side of our company running smoothly.

This isn’t an entry-level bookkeeping position. We need someone who already has an understanding of accounting, can independently manage the financial responsibilities of a business, and enjoys being part of a fast-moving company.

We’re also looking for someone who is organized, patient, accountable, and easy to work with.

First, A Little About Synergetic

Synergetic was founded in 2002 and has grown into a regional audiovisual production company.

  • We produce approximately 700 live events every year, each generating multiple financial transactions that need to be accurately recorded and managed.
  • We have approximately 35 full-time employees, another 15–20 part-time employees, and a large network of freelance technicians and subcontractors.
  • We operate in the entertainment and live events industry. It’s challenging, dynamic, exciting, and definitely not the same thing every day.
  • We’re independently owned, with one owner and founder, who is involved in the business every day.
  • You’ll report directly to him and work closely with our leadership team.
  • We’re a team-focused company where communication, accountability, creativity, patience, and organization matter.

We have established processes and systems that have helped us grow over the past two decades. We also know there are areas where we can improve.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

You’ll be the primary person responsible for our day-to-day bookkeeping operations. You’ll work with our owner, department leaders, employees, vendors, customers, and outside accounting firm.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable, ensuring bills, vendors, and financial obligations are paid accurately and on time.
  • Handle accounts receivable, including issuing customer invoices, recording payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
  • Reconcile daily cash activity and maintain accurate visibility into company bank balances.
  • Record and categorize financial transactions in QuickBooks Online.
  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule, including payroll involving full-time, part-time, and variable-hour employees.
  • Coordinate financial documentation and payments involving freelance technicians and subcontractors.
  • Maintain organized accounting records, files, and supporting documentation.
  • Communicate with project managers and other departments to obtain missing information, resolve discrepancies, and keep financial processes moving.
  • Reconcile all bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
  • Maintain supporting schedules for fixed assets, loans, and other significant accounts.
  • Monitor budgets and identify significant variances.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to company leadership.
  • Work with our outside accounting firm to prepare financial statements, tax information, and year-end documentation.
  • Maintain an accurate general ledger and chart of accounts.

What Experience Do You Need?

We’re looking for someone who can bring experience to the position, not someone who needs to learn the fundamentals of business accounting.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a small or midsize business.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial statements, and month-end closing procedures.
  • Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Comfort working with technology and learning new software.

Experience working in a business with multiple departments, substantial transaction volume, and a mix of employees and subcontractors is especially valuable.

Who Will Be a Great Fit Here?

Accounting skills are essential, but your personality and approach to work are equally important.

You’re Patient.

You’re Organized.

You’re a Strong Communicator.

You’re Comfortable With Change.

You’re a Team Player.

You’re Self-Motivated and Accountable.

You’re Willing to Learn Before You Change Things.

For the first 3–6 months, your priority will be learning our systems, following our established procedures, and understanding how the different parts of our business work together.

Once you have that foundation, we’ll welcome your ideas for making things more efficient, accurate, and effective.

Who Might Not Enjoy This Position?

We believe it’s important to be upfront about our work environment.

This position probably isn’t a great fit if:

  • You prefer doing exactly the same tasks in exactly the same order every day.
  • You become easily frustrated when priorities or circumstances change.
  • You prefer working independently to the point that you avoid collaborating with other departments.
  • You believe your responsibilities end strictly at the boundaries of your job description.
  • You don’t enjoy sharing knowledge or helping coworkers understand financial procedures.
  • You have difficulty managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
  • You tend to get impatient when people don’t provide information as quickly as you’d like.
  • You want to immediately overhaul established systems before understanding how and why they work.
  • You prefer a highly structured corporate environment where every situation has a predefined procedure.

We take accounting accuracy and financial responsibility seriously. But we also believe that being flexible, approachable, and solutions-oriented is essential to maintaining strong relationships with our customers and coworkers.
